Kieran Story
Male High School

Near the end of last year’s track season, Kieran was diagnosed with a spinal condition causing extreme pain in his lower back. Knowing his team needed him, he ran despite the pain. At the state track meet, he placed 4th in the hurdles and ran on the winning 4x400 meter relay team, helping boost his team to a third straight state track title. Also a member of the Bulldogs football team, he scored two touchdowns and caught an interception in the September 11 game against Central. Kieran is a member of FCA, Men of Quality and the YMCA Black Achiever’s Program. Kieran was one of 50 Louisville high school juniors selected to participate in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) program at U of L. 

Lindsey Shepherd
North Bullitt

A skilled forward and midfielder, Lindsey racked up nine points for her Lady Eagles soccer team this season. She was named high school off ensive team MVP in 2006 and 2007 and team MVP and captain for 2008. She is also a Member of the Mockingbird Valley Soccer 92 Girls Premiere team that is the reigning four-time KY Youth Soccer Association Open Division State Champions. With a GPA of 3.6 and an ACT score of 23, she was Academic All-State Honorable Mention in 2006, 2007 and 2008. She is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America, an active member of Bullitt Lick Baptist Church and was selected to be an offi ce assistant at NBHS.
