Evan Hancock
Trinity High School

“Evan is unique because he not only wanted success for himself, but was more moved by watching his teammates improve and accomplish their goals,” says Trinity cross country coach, Chad Waggoner. “Evan has led his teammates by uplifting their performances, praising their success, constructively criticizing their shortcomings and making himself a servant instead of a dictator as a team captain.” As member of the track and cross country teams, Evan was named second team All-State in cross country and honorable mention Academic All-State in cross country and track. He is a member of the St. Joseph of Arimathea Society and active in youth group, community service, and Trinity’s Environmental Club.

Morgan Riggs
Assumption High School

The all-time leading scorer for the Assumption soccer team, Morgan was first team all state for three years. “She has a tremendous work ethic and, as a result, has demonstrated gradual improvement throughout the time I have known her,” says her coach, Kenyon Meyer. Morgan was named Jenna Cooper Cleat Cup MVP in 2011-12 and Assumption MVP 2010-2012. Morgan has a GPA of 4.0, and is a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, a Peer Leader, and the president of the student council. She has volunteered her time on a mission trip to Nicaragua and locally with Project Warm, Visually Impaired Preschool Services, and Green Hill Therapy.

In August 2013, one boy and one girl will be chosen from the 2013 Class Athletes of the Month to be Athlete of the Year. The winning boy and girl will each receive a $1,000 college scholarship.
